We’re looking for a land-based Service Engineer (Catch & Release CO₂ Systems)

About us
Value Maritime Services (VMS), part of the Value Group and based in Amsterdam, is expanding into land-based carbon solutions.
Our Catch & Release systems – developed and built by our sister company Value Carbon – capture CO₂ from land-based fossil fuel sources, store it, and release it when needed by industrial offtakers. This creates a circular carbon solution with strong growth potential.
We have one pilot plant running and multiple full-scale projects under construction. VMS is responsible for commissioning, service, lifecycle support, and further development of these systems.
The role
As a land-based Service Engineer, you will help build our Catch & Release service organisation from the ground up.
You will:
- Commission and start up new installations
- Perform service and troubleshooting on CO₂ capture and liquefaction systems
- Execute and improve preventive maintenance
- Help structure and professionalise the service setup
The first plants are located in the Rotterdam area. Activities are currently in the Netherlands, with clear plans for international expansion.
Who we are looking for
We prefer candidates with experience in plant operation and servicing (e.g. chemical or process industry).
You have experience with:
- Industrial components and systems
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Working safely in plant environments
Experience with CO₂ capture systems, gas processing, and managing a service team is a strong plus.
